We are what we eat, well maybe not. Check out the latest in Science if you really want to know the truth about your food. What should you eat or not to eat. Read the article and you'll get surprised!

Yes to Coffee: Relax because your favorite morning shot is getting more and more like a health drink. Coffee may turn out to be good for your health; hear attack, gallstones, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, cirrhosis and kidney stones. However, studies also shows that black coffee may lead to thinner bones. Just add milk, and then problem is over.

Yes to Chocolate: Proven and tested to be somewhat healthy, dark chocolate, 70 % cocoa and all, is less in sugar than white chocolate. It is known to be health-promoting compounds. Go ahead, grab a bite. This reduces the risk of blood clots to prevent heart attack. It may even be a good help to that blood pressure that sometimes seems a bit high. Chocolate is a good source of energy.

No to Soda: Not your healthiest drink, that's what soda is, so do not expect a lot of good news. Last year's Research from the American Chemical Society found that chemicals in beverages sweetened with high-fructose corn syrup (called "reactive carbonyls") may increase the risk of diabetes. Not good for the stomach.

Maybe to Pizza: This isn't normally your idea of a health food but it has health benefits too. Take tomato sauce, this is one of its ingredients and it is rich in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant, good for the heart because it lowers blood pressure. Vegetables on its toppings are also healthy but careful on bits of meat. Those are rich in saturated fat which is already in the cheese. But do take pizza by the slice if you do not want any waistline increase.

Yes to Eggs: Are you surprised? I thought so. I can almost imagine many of you frantically shaking their heads but hear this out. We know egg yolks are a source of cholesterol but research had not really proved that those who are egg-eaters are the usual victims of cardiovascular diseases. Studies show that women who eats egg regularly are the ones who had lowest risk of heart problems. Yeah, an egg a day won't hurt you anyway, so go on, and have some for breakfast.

Maybe to Oatmeal: Many of us have this preconceived notion that oatmeal will do to start the day and that oatmeal is a good diet. Well, think again, because children who ate only oatmeal for breakfast had an increased craving in food. They then feel the need of eating meals more than they ought to put in their mouths and thus, they gain weight. According to studies, this is because of fluctuations in blood sugar, occurring after having eaten a meal with processed grain products.

So there, take your pick in answering to the call of food and craving!
